Crawl Space Encapsulation
Encapsulation seals the crawl space from the ground and outside air so it behaves like part of the conditioned house instead of a vented outdoor space. Liner runs across the soil, up the piers, and up the foundation walls, and every seam is sealed.
Done correctly, encapsulation lowers humidity under the house, stops condensation on ductwork, and makes the floors above noticeably less drafty in winter.
- Reinforced liner across soil, piers, and foundation walls with sealed seams
- Vents sealed and rim joists air-sealed
- Existing wet fiberglass insulation removed before liner installation
- Standing water addressed with drainage and a sump before sealing
- Access door replacement and pest exclusion detailing
